Remove price tags and increase the value of your item!
When was the last time you picked something up at a rummage sale and had trouble getting the price tag off? Read on - I'll give you a tip to get rid of those tags. Not only does this make your item look better, but also you no longer have to share your original price with buyers. The trick - use a handheld hair dryer to warm the glue on the sticker and peel off the tag. I learned this trick from a neighbor, when I got a piece of duct tape stuck onto a $100 movie poster. Set the hottest temperature on the hair drier and heat up the tape or label using a circular motion. Once you lift up the edge of the tag, direct the air under sticker, for more heat on the adhesive. Slowly peel the sticker away from the item.WARNING - this method does not ALWAYS work. Sometimes the label and glue are too old for this to be effective. You should not use this method on a candle or anything that could be harmed by the heat. Sometimes the label gees off, and you are left with a glue residue. You might be able to remove the residue with some rubbing alcohol. When in doubt leave the item alone. It's better to sell the item with the tag than to harm the item and not sell it. This method works better with the 75-cent rummage sticker, than the 30 year old price tag. Thanks for reading this tip - if it helps please feel free to pass the information along to others.
