looking for paint that will stick to leather

My eyeglasses have leather lacing woven through "chain link" side arms. The color has worn off, and I've been trying to touch it up with matching paint, which looks pretty good, but after a few days it peels off like rubber or plastic. What I used was acrylic craft paint (says on the bottle can be used on leather). What else could I try that won't peel or rub off?

Lots of Upholstery Samples - sort by brand, pattern, or color?

I have a large collection of upholstery samples that I plan to list in lots. Should I sort them by brand, pattern, or color? What do you think crafters would prefer? Thanks for your help.

Repairing scratched nickel or plated coating on bag buckle.

I bought a bag recently and the hardware used on two buckles were stratched. They seem to be made of some kind of alloy or nickel finish. Can anyone suggest some kind of paint or enamel, maybe something that is used in model building which could cover the stratches,as it is a brand new bag I would like to do a good job repairing it. Or would there be any covering available on the market in a hardware superstore. Thanks everyone for reading this post as it is very long. Karen.

Letraset, PressureGraphics, and Zipatone dry transfers

I have a shoe box full of Letraset, PressureGraphics, and Zipatone dry transfers, but I couldn't really find much on Ebay. Is there a market for these, or am I better off just throwing them away?

canopies for craft sales

If anyone is doing craft sales/flea markets and using a canopy, I'd love to get some feedback on what you're using. A friend told me he purchased one at Costco; feedback on that item was less than enthusiastic. Costco and other big box stores sell things in the $100 range; most other options I've been finding are in the $1000 range. There's got to be something in the middle. I'd like something that has some flexibility: side walls when needed, for example. 10x10 to 10x20 would be ideal. I'm especially interested in knowing how your canopy has held up. My Other Half is quite concerned about durability. Thanks for reading. Hope to hear from you.

Sewing Addicts, How Do You Organize Your Patterns?

I'm having a organizational dilemma, lol. I used to store my patterns in cardboard boxes but they just don't last like plastic ones. I can't find any perfectly sized boxes for my sewing patterns. I've tried Rubbermaid and Sterilite (sp?) containers in varying sizes and I haven't found the perfect ones yet. I've searched for storage boxes specifically made for patterns but can't seem to find any. Any suggestions?

Simply Nantucket's Patterns question

Hi everyone , New to this board and have a question. I have purchased a box of about 500 Simply Nantuckets sewing patterns, I have searched all over ebay and off ebay for some information about pricing them or even the origional company and have had no luck. Does anyone know if this company is still in business or if these mostly 1995-1998 patterns could be in our out of print? I have found info on Simply Nantuckets Baskets but nothing on patterns. Appreciate any help Barbara

How do crafts sell for you on eBay?

I've been selling my handcrafted items on eBay for several years now. I did really well for a few years but I have noticed in the last 2 or 3 years nothing seems to move very fast. I'm beginning to question if it is even worth the trouble and headaches. With all the changes going on at this time- I think it is going to get even harder to sell anything. Bettye

Need Help locating an Eye Pin ?

Hi, I would love to attach an image but I do think I can on here. An 'eye pin' is what I think it is called, but not 100% sure. Imagine a circle mounted onto a circular 'cup' with a short pin coming out of the cup. To me it looks like an attachment to fit into a pre drilled hole in a bead. The actual item is quite small, maybe 5/16th total length, the circle has a hole in it of about 1/16th and the pin part is about 1/8th long. I was finding these is a $ store but they do not stick them any more. The only ones I can find on Ebay are sterling silver or gold, but the ones I am looking for are just plain metal. Any help would be much appreciated.R

Can someone tell me how I should list this as a Lot?

Hi, About a year back I collected a good bit of stuff to make jewlery. I have all different sizes in split rings, charms, braclet and necklace chains, earring peices, tools for splitrings and more. I was planning to make some jewlery however, I found it to be harder then I thought and I am not good at it so I figured I would make a lot but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what catagories to list it in? I do have an Ebay store but I sell shoes so this is new to me. Any help would be great. Kim
